This is what most people don't get when they talk about "religious tolerance." Some (not all) belief systems simply don't allow for diversity or differences of opinion. If you aren't 100% with them, then you are an evil heathen who needs to be murdered in the name of their all-loving God and sent to Hell for eternity.

Make no mistake, any time the leaders of the Christian, Muslim, or Jewish faiths say that they want peace and to "live and let live," what they really mean is: "We'll get you eventually, but we don't have the balls to act until we know we've got the upper hand."

I like that comic you linked to, cap, but it's probably too long for most people to read.

The one thing that gets me is the cries from the Muslim world, even amongst secularist factions be they revisionist or from the scholarly intellectual tradition, is that what the Pope said, a QUOTE from the 14th century, is deeply offensive.



OF COURSE it's deeply offensive! When one 'faith' with a 'universal, absolute truth' squares off against the other, of course there's gonna be disagreement, and offence given and taken. And come ON! He's the Fucking Pope, the Absolute Leader Of The Absolute Truth (available in other flavours of the Christian Rainbow as well!), ANYTHING he says is gonna offend Muslims, Buddhists, Communists, Atheists, Jews, Homosexuals, Apes, Dolphins, Martians, etc, etc.
