Mages

"Ah...the mirror match-up. So you see another Mage coming out of the opposite starting area. As in every mirror match-up, if all things are equal (gear, spec, server lag) this is a pure skill contest. The problem is that this is almost never the case. Are you a Fire or Arcane Mage. Most of the Mages you'll be facing in Arena combat will be Frost Mages. Keep Frost Ward up, time your Counterspells well, cast Slow on them if you have it, and pray your bursts can outdo their bursts. A really effective way to start a fight against a Frost Mage is with an Improved Counterspell, a sheep, a re-sheep if they trinket, and your best nuke. Spellsteal their buffs, and pray you get some lucky resists and lucky crits. Are you Frost, and they aren't. Remember your Fire Ward, and then outlast them. You can control the fight much better than they can, and your survivability options are far better, so focus on outliving the burst damage. Negate what you can with Counterspells, annoy them with your elemental, keep Ice Barrier up, and Ice Block whenever you see a big spell coming your way. Sandwich in DPS where you can, and when you see them getting low on mana, shatter-combo them into oblivion. What we like: Everything. world of warcraft power leveling Mages are awesome. What we don't: Nothing. Mages are awesome. Can we kill them. Why would you want to kill a fellow Mage. wow powerleveling Oh right, Arena points. Ok, then yes, but only if you're really, really good...because Mages are awesome." "What we like: Pallies are fun. As with Shamans, all of their heals take time to cast, and make them stand still while they cast them, so Counterspell is just priceless against a Paladin. wow powerlevel All of a Paladin's spells are in the holy school, so even a normal Counterspell renders a Paladin entirely useless.
They can't even bubble out of it. If the Pally has more dangerous teammates, it is fairly simple to set the Paladin as your Focus target and keep them in check with sheeps and Counterspells. wow gold Pallies have almost no innate or talented spell resistance of any kind, so their health disappears rapidly. They have auras that can raise their resistances against frost or fire spells, but in Arena combat they will almost always keep Concentration Aura up unless they are Retribution specced. What we don't: It is slightly more difficult to kite a Ret Pally than it is to kite a Warrior due to Blessing of Freedom, but not impossible. Most of the time, it is far easier to simply burst the poor Pally down, preventing the bubble with a well-timed Improved Counterspell, instead of trying to keep him at bay. serveur wow Also, it can become frustrating when fighting a Paladin if you fail to keep him from healing his companions. In large teams, a Mage's role against a Pally is pure CC. Don't even waste mana on DPS, just keep that Pally from healing and you've won. Can we kill them. Not a chance. Just kidding, we totally can.

"Priests and Shaman

"Ah, now here's an interesting fight. Frankly, this is what a counter-class should be. Mages and Priests almost seem designed to fight each other. Each class has spells and abilities that seem tailor-made to counter each other, making this match-up more a test of skill and resourcefulness than almost any other in the game. They have Psychic Scream, we have Polymorph. We Ice Block, and the Priest can dispel it. He casts Power Word: Shield on himself, we can Spellsteal it. We burst damage him to nearly the point of death, only he's burned all our mana and now we have to watch him heal up while we scramble for a place to drink. He starts to cast his big heal, we can Counterspell it and lock out his holy spells. For Mages, this match-up turns on timely burst damage and impeccably timed Counterspells. Whittle the Priest down as best you can until you see him start one of the big heals, Counterspell it, then pray you have enough burst capability to bring him down. Slow is also a useful spell against Priests, as it is with all casters. What we don't: The most frustrating thing about fighting a Priest is that they can frequently seem far less squishy than they should. Most Arena Priests these days seem to take talents in the Discipline tree that make them very difficult for a Mage to bring down as quickly as he wants to. Combine that with the fact that a good Priest is likely burning off your mana and doing his best to out-heal your DPS, you might very swiftly discover that he has full health and you are out of mana. wow gold paypal If the Priest is specced Shadow, his DPS is on a par with your own, and he can do several almost Warlockian things to you. Can we kill them.
You bet, but this is truly an even match-up if gear is relatively similar. Spellsteal is your friend, use it early to turn the battle slightly in your favor. gold in wow Remember that Ice Block can be dispelled so use it proactively, as a way to get rid of DoTs and break out of fear, or avoid that incoming mana burn. Time your burst damage well, and save your Counterspells for heals. Killabillity: 5/10 Shamans What we like: Once upon a time, back when it was still possible to find a PUG for Dire Maul, Shamans used to be an incredibly dangerous class to face in individual combat. There was a time when the Alliance was very sad that they couldn't roll a Shaman, and complained that Shammies were over-powered almost as much as the Horde complained that Pallies were over-powered. wow power leveling Remember those days. I do, the same way I remember the days when gas cost a buck-fifty a gallon. Those days are gone. cheap world of warcraft gold In that bygone era, Shamans were a true hybrid class, capable melee fighters, range casters, and powerful healers. Now they're like an under-powered Warrior, Mage, and Priest rolled into one. They're like a Druid's inbred second cousin, the one with an extra appendage and three teeth that they don't allow to appear in any of the family photos at the reunion. wow europe I'm not trying to insult Shamans, I'm just trying to paint it like it is. Blizzard need to fix Shamans, moreso than any other class in this game, and that's all there is to it. Shamans are prime Polymorph targets.

WoW, Casually: Finding groups fast (Reader Mail)

"Each week or so, Robin Torres writes WoW, Casually for the player who has 2 hours or less to play at a time. This week, I finally get around to answering an email from Mattilda: Hey Robin, I really enjoyed your article on WoW Insider. I recently got married and that basically killed my play time in WoW which probably isn't that bad of a thing, but I still like to play and it is normally only for a couple of hours in the evening. One of the biggest problems I have is getting a group for an instance. I have a decent guild but they are all normally busy in Kara or ZA when I'm on, and since I only play one or 2 nights a week I'm not high on the importance list to help. I like to do dailies and busy my self with solo stuff, but in order to get neutral with the Ogrila, there are some group quests. Looking for group is not always reliable and it seems that it basically puts you with 5 year olds most of the time. So my question is you can either put in in an article or just answer via e-mail, do you have any good ideas on how to get a reliable group in a short amount of time. There may not be a way, but just wanted to get your thoughts. Thanks, Mattilda, lvl 70 Draenei Shaman My answer and more are after the jump. Hey Mattilda, First of all, even though I'm 4 months late, congratulations! Marriage can totally eat into your gaming time. Of course, you can always convert your wife into a gamer and then you will only have to find 3 more people for your group and have more time to play! However, since the conversion can take almost as long as it took me to answer this email, I'll address your question. You're right that LFG is far from the tool we casuals need to find a group fast.
People don't use it enough and even when they do, you can never be sure what kind of a player you are getting. The last thing you want to do with your limited playtime is spend half of it arguing with people who can't play their class but want to tell you how to play yours. I have no instant solution for you, but with some organizational work on your part and some planning ahead, you can arrange quick grouping for the long term. The key is to collect a group of players with similar schedules to play with regularly. This is more than just a friends list, it's a collection of known-good players who want the same thing you do -- find a group quickly and finish an instance before their time is up. Here's how: Setup a Chat Channel, for example: /join Casual As you find fun players with good group skills and similar schedules, invite them to the channel: /cinvite Casual Mattilda Always recruit groups from your Casual channel first, regardless of class or spec. A good bunch of players can make it happen, even if you don't have the standard group makeup. wow gold The more you play with the same players, the better you all will play together and the faster instances will go. The hard part is finding the players to invite to your Casual metaguild, but you probably have been doing some of this already: PuGs: Recruit from pickup groups that go well. Or recruit your fellow sufferers in painful PuGs. wow powerleveling Friends: Go over your Friends list. If you remember who they are and how well they play, invite them to join. Guildies: Recruit on your Guild's forum. wow or There are probably other people in your raiding guild that are in the same boat.
Other Guilds: There are some guilds that are known casual friendly and made up of mostly decent groupies. Recruiting one person from a guild will add the entire guild to the potential talent pool. Ever quest platinum The great thing about this idea is that it will work when you're not there. Your fellow Casual Chat members will group together and improve their teamwork so that they are even better groupies when you are on. You will be helping other people in your same predicament while you are reducing your group-finding time and increasing your group-playing time. wow europe And so many people are having the same problems you are. Because of the Sunwell daily quests, you may be doing a lot more soloing right now, but there are also so many people PuGing it up for Magisters' Terrace.

What raiders need to know and do

"Before the raid: You'll need to turn up equipped to do your role as well as possible, including full DPS consumables (such as haste potions, destruction potions, Drums of Battle etc; some casters level leatherworking just for these). As a raid leader, you'll also have some delicate news to deliver if you decide people are underperforming and need to sit out, so prepare your raid for that if you can. During the raid: Establish positioning and ensure you have communication set up for tank switches, if needed. Set aside spots to run to with Burn that are out of Meteor Slash range, and make sure everyone knows their path to get there (running through other people spreads it). After a few attempts it should be clear what is killing your raid, whether it's tank deaths due to damage, lack of healing or lack of communication; burn deaths due to lack of healing and self-preservation; or poor DPS meaning you hit the enrage timer. Raid Leading: Use everything you have to figure out why people died, why your tank isn't getting healed in time or why your DPSers are underperforming. It's tough to lead this fight while tanking, but stick at it and you'll be doing your tank rotation in your sleep soon enough. Preparation, tips and tricks All raiders should show up with full consumables, of course; Elixir of Demonslaying work out great for melee, but for your first tries flasks are a lot cheaper. You might want a DS priest and spare paladins buffing from outside the raid, either by logging in and out from the buff spot or by having your raid zone out for extra buffs. Every single drop of DPS will make a difference. Get your best DPSers in, you don't want your warglaive rogues sitting out for this fight due to some concept of 'fair rotations'. Threat can be sensitive during the first tank's shift, so you may need Tranquil Air or other threat-reduction abilities during this phase; as the taunt rotation gets going, it becomes much less of a problem. If your DPS isn't high enough, use Curse of Recklessness offset by Improved Demoralising Shout, get a paladin to keep up Improved Judgement of the Crusader and have a warlock spec into Malediction.
If your tanks are dying, use debuffs like Shadow Embrace, Insect Swarm, Scorpid Sting and Improved Thunderclap. There are obviously many other options here, and the ones you choose will depend on your raid makeup. Other DPS options include having your non-active tank use Nightfall, having your feral tank DPS in cat form when not tanking, using jewelcrafting necklaces for party buffs and so on. You might run into problems with too many debuffs on the boss, so you may need to discuss not using certain non-vital debuffs, or having backup plans to refresh spells like Judgement of Wisdom. Many kills have used two feral druids, or one warrior and one druid (ours had the feral druid as the starting tank, giving the warrior time to debuff the target), but we've seen others use a paladin or two prot warriors, so despite some of the raving about feral druids' survivability they aren't the only option by a long way. Having Shield Wall available can help a lot for those last few percent, and having a non-warrior tank means lowering a DPS warrior's output as he has to debuff the boss. Once Brutallus enrages, you can take 1-3% off his health before he kills the last raid member, and using tricks like a paladin bubbling and taunting can give you a precious few more seconds of DPS. Also, don't worry if DPS isn't spot on before 20%; depending on the number of mages and warriors, execute abilities will help you catch up a little. However, be prepared to be harsh with your DPSers and if people are underperforming, not using consumables or doing idiotic things like spreading Burn, swap them for people who will be worth the raid spot. " "World of Warcraft has two distinctly different types of play: Player versus Environment and Player versus Player.
wow powerleveling The styles of play are dramatically different and there are few, if any, skills that cross over from one style to the other. WoW started out as a PvE game, adding in PvP content as the player base expanded. And despite the numerous PvP fanbois out there, the real game in WoW will always remain the PvE game. There are a few reasons why I think this. po wow First and foremost, you cannot progress in PvP without first completing a large potion of the PvE content. You start out at level 1 and progress up to level 70. You don't level up by PvPing against one another. gold für wow You level up by fighting against the environment. Put simply, without the PvE there would be no PvP. Secondly, PvP is an addition to the game. If you remove PvP from the game entirely, the game itself would not fundamentally change. eve isk However if you remove the PvE elements, the game would be nothing like it is. Everything would just exist like the Arena Tournament server. That might be fine for some people, and this is evident in the success of the Arena Tournament server. des po wow Even I enjoy spending a couple hours a week on there, but by no means would I want to just exist on a server where the only thing to do is kill one another. Third, PvP progression is based on the amount of time one puts into it.

Digihedo news:iPod Touch Unbox Improved - Sort of

"We find it interesting how when a new iPod MP3 players appears the first thing someone wants to do is rip it apart - literally - for the benefit of others."MP3PlayerBuying introduce some Harmon Kardon guide for you.The summer PMP/DAP market is heating up with quite a few new models for summer appearing in the last couple of weeks. So when the iPod MP3 player touch appeared dozens of folk had to ""touch"" it and place the results online. The latest comes from a well known make for audiophiles Harmon Kardon, whose new personal media MP3 player aims for the higher end of the market with the addition of GPS capabilities in a 2.9"" x 4.6"" x 0.78"" body. Dubbed the Harmon Kardon Guide + Play, the MP3 player sports a modest 2GB of flash memory with an SD slot for expansion (with a 4GB top end). But we guess the secret of creating an iPod MP3 player touch unbox segment for the Net is not creating the best iPod touch unbox photo or video layout, but the first iPod touch photo or video layout. The 4"" screen sports touchscreen control and 480 x 272 resolution. This has led to a slew of quick, shaky camera iPod videos along with the associated nasal ramblings of it's creator as they turn the camera on themselves, try to think of a few words to say, and then turn it back to the iPod.The MP3 player handles the MP3 and WMA codecs as well as the AAC format, which means it will be able to play those DRM-free EMI tracks that iTunes will soon offer. When we picked up our iPod MP3 players touch we wondered if we can improve on the unbox video thing just a little bit.The Guide + Play also handles both MPEG-4 and WMV9 video files.
mp4 player So we gave it a try, but sure enough once we got the damn thing out of the box we had to postpone our little shoot. On the GPS side the Harmon Kardon Guide + Play sports both 2D and 3D high res maps with the complete Western and Northern and Southern European maps pre-installed. It seems our 2 1/2 year-old Mac wasn't iPod touch worthy. The unit weighs in at a healthy 7.1 ounces and ships now for $399. " "The Microsoft Zune has very good playback performance of audio, video, and photos; intuitive and colorful interface; good FM radio with RDS; works well with Zune Marketplace software; integrated wireless allows sharing of songs (limited) and photos; many accessories available at launch. We fortunately had access to a Win XP box and acouple of days later we were able to assemble the short ditty in the panel to the right. So, is our iPod MP3 players touch unbox video really better than the other guys. Microsoft hopes to soon root ""we're number two"" for the Zune, introducing two new units. cheap mp3 players That's just a matter of opinion. The first Zune unit is an 80GB model MP3 players that looks almost the same as the original Zune, but is 27% smaller. It's short, but we tended to focus more on the undressing than the actual manipulation of buttons and spouting of tech specs.Called the Zune 80GB, the new generation Zune can be recognized by the touchpad, which replaces a circle with a square with rounded edges. Call us iPod voyeurs if you must, we just had more fun stripping off the cellophane and...The Zune 80GB MP3 players offers a 3.2"" display. The other new Zune is a flash-based portable, available in 4GB MP3 players and 8GB MP3 players and called - your way ahead of me - the Zune 4gb and Zune 8GB.
mp3 mp4 player Oh lord! Does that make me an...an iPodophile. Both Zune flash units are available in red, olive, pink and black. What will I tell my SanDisk and Archos players. The new Zune MP3 players share features, including a wireless PC sync feature and an FM tuner Microsoft also stated that they have extended wireless sharing on the Zune. " .It will still limit users to only three plays of whatever file they share, but there is no longer a time limit before the files expire. portabel mp3 player " "Measuring 3.1 x 2 x 0.7 inches and weighing just 1.3 ounces, the AlienWare CE_IV was that computer makers attempt to follow in the footsteps of the Dell DJ. The unit offered an FM tuner, 3D sound and an SD/MMC slot for expansion. What was most interesting about the MP3 player is that it offered a matching speaker system as an option that also served to recharge the MP3 player. Reviews on the CE-IV ranged from excellent to so-so, so do your research. mp3playerstore.fr">mp4 Mostly it is here because one overstock shop on eBay is selling factory sealed 1GB MP3 players CE-IVs in a package deal with the sound dock, and is getting between $50 and $80 for the set. The 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will see the debut of two all-new Alienware systems including the next generation of ALX desktops and Alienware's most powerful 15.4-inch notebook. Alienware representatives including Bryan DeZayas, Associate Director of Product Marketing, will stage in-depth demonstrations on Alienware MP3 player systems, showcasing the latest in graphics and performance technology.

That's when it dawned on us that all of these MP3 players were most likely sold for pennies on the dollar to overstock vendors who then pawn them off cheap to the public, all New in Box (NIB) items, albeit a couple of years old.The Guide + Play also handles both MPEG-4 and WMV9 video files. mp4 player Now add to this all the portables given as gifts and never opened and that open bazaar we know as eBay can hold some hidden gems. On the GPS side the Harmon Kardon Guide + Play sports both 2D and 3D high res maps with the complete Western and Northern and Southern European maps pre-installed.
This means there are some old cheap MP3 players that if cheap enough could offer excellent value, even when compared against today's units and prices. So we spent a couple of weeks checking out eBay to get some idea of what is out there. The trick is to find MP3 players that are well under their original price, but are not yet obsolete. Microsoft hopes to soon root ""we're number two"" for the Zune, introducing two new units. cheap mp3 players For example, Creative just announced the 1GB Zen Stone for $39, so it makes no sense to buy a 512 MB Sony Walkman Bean, which was in our Christmas 2005 guide, for $59.The first Zune unit is an 80GB model MP3 players that looks almost the same as the original Zune, but is 27% smaller. That's the price we saw Overstock.com peddling it. The digital savvy know what features are most important to them and they can tell right off if an older player at a steep discount makes a compelling option.Called the Zune 80GB, the new generation Zune can be recognized by the touchpad, which replaces a circle with a square with rounded edges. A good way to gauge value for any user is to measure them against a contemporary player that's popular and well priced. The Zune 80GB MP3 players offers a 3.2"" display. The other new Zune is a flash-based portable, available in 4GB MP3 players and 8GB MP3 players and called - your way ahead of me - the Zune 4gb and Zune 8GB.
mp3 mp4 player In this case, we will use the iPod shuffle, which is a basic 1GB player with no display for $79.00.Both Zune flash units are available in red, olive, pink and black. If a older player can offer more and do it for a price equal or less than the shuffle's it certainly becomes an option. The new Zune MP3 players share features, including a wireless PC sync feature and an FM tuner Microsoft also stated that they have extended wireless sharing on the Zune. The iPod shuffle is particularly good for this, because there are many users who find significant value in just the iPod name alone. It will still limit users to only three plays of whatever file they share, but there is no longer a time limit before the files expire. portabel mp3 player It is also very tiny, a feature that is important to some users, but inconsequential to others. " . " "Measuring 3.1 x 2 x 0.7 inches and weighing just 1.3 ounces, the AlienWare CE_IV was that computer makers attempt to follow in the footsteps of the Dell DJ. Visit Dell's booth or any of our partners for a hands-on experience. " .

"Today we introduce a new style MP3 players-BeoSound 6, Bang & Olufsen's mp3 player. It is a kind of best MP3 players."MP3PlayerBuying introduce some Harmon Kardon guide for you.The summer PMP/DAP market is heating up with quite a few new models for summer appearing in the last couple of weeks. BeoSound 6, Bang & Olufsen's new flash mp3 player launching just in time for the holiday season, will be showcased as well. BeoSound features a stylish design and superior CD sound quality. The 4"" screen sports touchscreen control and 480 x 272 resolution. It allows 40 hours of playback -- double the market battery life standard -- and can hold up to 1000 songs. The MP3 player handles the MP3 and WMA codecs as well as the AAC format, which means it will be able to play those DRM-free EMI tracks that iTunes will soon offer. It functions on any PC or MAC based operating system. What disappoints me most about B&O's lastest digital audio portable MP3 player is that from the initial specs it looks like something I would have expected them to release in 2004.The Guide + Play also handles both MPEG-4 and WMV9 video files. mp4 player For $625 - or slightly above the price of a 4GB iPhone MP3 player - I expect the Bang and Olufsen BeoSound 6 to be the first 16GB flash unit to hit the market. On the GPS side the Harmon Kardon Guide + Play sports both 2D and 3D high res maps with the complete Western and Northern and Southern European maps pre-installed.
Instead, we get a simple 4GB unit MP3 player that Beoworld.org thinks is a rebranded Samsung YP-Z5, an iPod nano competitor that sells right now on Amazon for $159. Now B&O has always been about style, but even here the unit falls flat. It's not unattractive, just common. Microsoft hopes to soon root ""we're number two"" for the Zune, introducing two new units. cheap mp3 players At least the company's first portable, the BeoSound 2, had a unique shape to it.The first Zune unit is an 80GB model MP3 players that looks almost the same as the original Zune, but is 27% smaller. The BeoSound 2 is still available from B&O and while that 128MB portable MP3 player is woefully outdated by today's standards, when it was introduced in 2001 (yes, that's how old it is) it was at least on the high end of digital portable flash capacity. In terms of simplicity, the BeoSound 6 is similar to the iPod nano.Called the Zune 80GB, the new generation Zune can be recognized by the touchpad, which replaces a circle with a square with rounded edges. No FM tuner or line-in record. The Zune 80GB MP3 players offers a 3.2"" display. The other new Zune is a flash-based portable, available in 4GB MP3 players and 8GB MP3 players and called - your way ahead of me - the Zune 4gb and Zune 8GB. mp3 mp4 player No Wi-Fi.Both Zune flash units are available in red, olive, pink and black. No touch-screen interface. The new Zune MP3 players share features, including a wireless PC sync feature and an FM tuner Microsoft also stated that they have extended wireless sharing on the Zune.
Just a straight audio player with a 1.8"" 64K LCD display in a 3.5"" x 1.7"" x 0.5"" shell. But $625.It will still limit users to only three plays of whatever file they share, but there is no longer a time limit before the files expire. portabel mp3 player We know B&O extracts a premium, but they can do better than this. " "Measuring 3.1 x 2 x 0.7 inches and weighing just 1.3 ounces, the AlienWare CE_IV was that computer makers attempt to follow in the footsteps of the Dell DJ. " .The unit offered an FM tuner, 3D sound and an SD/MMC slot for expansion.
"Alterac Valley

"Depending on the game, and players, sometimes the enemy team will have many players on defense - and other times there will be little to none. If you have too much defense and not enough offense your advance along the map will be slow. Games will typically go longer and there will be less honor over time for players because the game isn't ending as quickly. On the other hand, having no defense whatsoever is not advisable. Even a handful of defenders can slow the enemy, especially at chokepoints. The delay, however slight, that they give to the enemy attackers can mean the difference between victory and defeat. Chat Good communication is essential to teamwork. Upon joining the battle, you will automatically be in the battleground channel (/bg), where allied players can communicate. Players are also automatically joined together in a raid group. Keep each other appraised of what is going on in the battle. The offensive and defensive teams should communicate often on their status and progress throughout the match. For example, if the defensive team finds the other side pushing hard in one location, they can rally to that point. They can also let the offense know that they need to hurry to defeat the enemy general. The offense may then bypass some objectives in favor of rushing to the general's fortress. wow gold Similarly, the offense can discuss which objectives to conquer and which to bypass amongst themselves. Each side can also call for reinforcements from the other. Stay Together Try to stay together with a pack of allies, as there is strength in numbers. In Alterac Valley, some enemy NPCs (such as the two generals) are extremely tough and can only be defeated by a large group of players. The number of guards, enemy players, and sheer amount of terrain to cross lends itself to having a large group of players sticking together to accomplish the objectives of the battleground as fast as possible.
wow power level If you are off on your own, you might be very susceptible to attacks by a mass of enemy players. However, it is also a viable tactic to station small teams of players or even individual players to hold and defend objectives such as graveyards and towers. On defense, having the bulk of your defense banding together to hold strategic objectives is very effective. This is particularly true at key chokepoints, where even a small defense can hold off a larger attacking force. " " If you have joined a game that has already started, open up the map with the ""m"" key. wow gold Each person on your side (Alliance or Horde) is represented on the map by a dot. You can mouse over the dots to see player names too. Where the players on your team are and what objectives your side controls can give you an idea of how the battle is going. You can review the Alterac Interactive Map for more details about the various important locations on the map. Also, you can open up the score screen on your minimap to see how long the game has been going. wow power leveling If the match has been going on for a significant length of time, it's possible there is some sort of stalemate in progress. Alterac Valley Tips: Gameplay Objectives Your main task is to kill the enemy general and win the battleground as fast as possible. The faster your team burns through the match, the faster you can collect your bonus honor, tokens, and advance to the next game. You should always be working toward slaying the enemy general. This is achieved by fighting your way across the map, taking over graveyards, and destroying enemy buildings. wow level up You also want to earn as much honor as possible per game that can be redeemed for better equipment.
You gain honor by destroying towers, killing enemy players, killing enemy NPCs (lieutenants/commanders/captain), and by defeating the enemy general. You will have more honor if you have destroyed all the towers, own as many graveyards as possible, and prevent the enemy from holding graveyards or destroying towers. Game Flow As soon as the game begins, players rush out of the starting gates toward the enemy graveyards. If you're not quick enough leaving the gate, you might be trapped behind a sea of enemy players rushing toward your general. It depends on your battlegroup, but often Horde players attack Stonehearth to kill Captain Balinda while Alliance players take Snowfall and kill the lieutenants near Captain Galvangar but skip the captain himself. Players rush ahead and capture graveyards working their way quickly through the towers and graveyards until they reach the enemy general " .

Army of One

"Army of One If you're trying to attack Halaa all by yourself, you need to really work hard with hit-and-run tactics focusing on bombing runs. First, convert the destroyed wyvern posts to functioning wyvern posts. After converting one, run away. After you've converted three or four of the posts, the enemy will have a much harder time finding you. Start your bombing runs. Run away after landing from a bombing run to another post and bomb again. The goal is to keep the enemy guessing as to which wyvern post you're using, and doing as much damage as possible. If you start attacking the town by yourself, sometimes other players will be inspired by your bravery (sometimes only after being informed on the public chat channels) and join you! You may soon find yourself leading a full-scale assault on the town. Rejoining the Battle The attacking players have a disadvantage in their graveyard placement. They have to revive at graveyards that are much further away from the town than the Halaa defenders. Some of the wyvern posts are much further away from the graveyard than others. The southernmost wyvern post is closest to the graveyard. Keep that in mind when both attacking and defending that post. Dead players can quickly revive nearby and jump back into battle. The defending players' graveyard is located right inside Halaa, thus defenders can quickly move to defend any part of the town once reviving. It can be somewhat challenging figuring out how to retrieve your body if you are new to this area. wow gold Look for the paths leading up to the city from its base. If you die in town, look for an out-of-view spot where you can revive without being immediately noticed by the enemy. As soon as you revive, you can beat a hasty exit by escaping on your flying mount.
Then you can fly to one of the flying islands, heal up, and rejoin the battle. " " Bombing enemy players isn't that effective in comparison to attacking them directly. wow power level Enemy players can also just get on their flying mounts and stay up in the air to avoid bomb damage. But for a source of amusement, you can take potshots at enemy players standing near your wyvern posts just before you land. If you let up on bombing runs after a while, the guards will start to respawn. Keep up the pressure on the guards at all times. Sometimes it's a good idea to have one or two players bombing while the rest are fighting the enemy. wow gold It can be useful to the attackers if one player sits above town on a flying mount to scout and give updates as to the battle's progress. Make sure you don't attack the enemy vendors or other non-guard NPCs - they will defend themselves. You will need to run out of town before they will stop chasing you. Once the guards have been defeated, have everyone gather in the middle of the town. You need to hold the town for a length of time until it officially changes hands to your side. wow power leveling Each side has a graveyard in town so you should expect your enemies to come back quickly after dying. After you capture the town you can get more Halaa Battle Tokens by defending it further. You can also take advantage of having the guards on your side, as well as the friendly NPCs that appear. " "Assaulting Halaa To take over Halaa you first need to get rid of all of the enemy guards before the town can be captured. While you can fight the guards on foot, it's a very slow process because their hit points are exceedingly high.
wow level up A better way to get rid of the guards is to bomb them on the wyverns. It's best to have as many players as possible bombing the guards so that they will die more quickly. 10 bombs are placed in your inventory when you mount a wyvern. If you use some bombs and later get back on a wyvern, your bomb supply will be replenished. Place the bombs on your action bar to access them more easily. Learn where all the Halaa guards are located so it will be easier to find and bomb them. Practice your bombing runs repeatedly, so that you can launch more bombs per pass as well as aim them more precisely. Each wyvern post sends its wyvern flights on different flight paths. If the wyvern you're on isn't reaching the guards you need to hit, try a different wyvern post. While bombing with other allied players, it's sometimes a good idea to do bombing runs from the same wyvern post. That way, when the enemy shows up, you can join the battle after dismounting in one group. If you use separate wyvern posts, it will take some time for you to fly or run over to assist your allies. Stay in a group if possible. Meet up at a location outside of town, pick an area to attack, and then travel there together. That way, if you meet up with the enemy, you'll be organized. Otherwise, an enemy party or raid of players can pick you off one by one. " .

That way, if you meet up with the enemy, you'll be organized. Otherwise, an enemy party or raid of players can pick you off one by one.
" "The neutral city of Halaa is prized for its strategic importance to both factions. As a highly visible target, with its own unique rewards, the city is the focus for the world PvP that occurs in Nagrand. By defeating enemy players in the city's vicinity, you gain Halaa Battle Tokens which can be redeemed for a selection of PvP-focused rewards. wow gold You can purchase these rewards from special NPCs who only appear for the controlling side. Other vendors also sell special jewelcrafting plans and gems to the side in control of Halaa. In addition, friendly players in Nagrand get a buff of a +5% damage boost when the city is in their side's possession. The passive buff helps for questing as well as fighting enemy players. Besides the rewards, there are other motivations for fighting over Halaa. wow power leveling Foremost among these is that it's a fun objective. The feeling of fighting hard to take over a town with your allies, defeating the enemy, and seeing your side's flag raised in town can be very gratifying. You and your allies will surely feel a “woot!” coming on when you see it happen. Attacking Halaa Marshalling the Troops The side who controls Halaa receives several benefits when defending it from subsequent attack: The battle for Halaa is often a numbers game. If the enemy has more players, you're going to need to do hit-and-run tactics or get more players on your side. Try asking in the General, Local Defense, or World Defense channels for more players. wow level up Shattrath City is quite close to Halaa so you can send someone to ask for reinforcements. It's common to ask if there are any PvP groups going if you're interested in joining in Halaa PvP Combat. Then join and invite players as needed.
If you have more than 5 players, start a raid group and balance the groups. " .

"Beware of so called ""guides"" being sold online. I've purchased several guides over the last week, and almost all of them were scams. Sure I saw some guys big bank account, and saw him running his level 70 through an instance making gold along the way, but what about for new players. ! If you're a new player like me, you can't benefit from seeing how a level 70 does his daily quests, I mean who cares how an end level player makes gold, I wanted to know how to make gold just to get my first mount! A lot of the guides I bought were just like this, they told how a level 70 character can go and make a bunch of gold farming in some area with level 68 elites every where, and then selling items in the AH. Thats fine and all, but not very helpful unless you're already at the end of the game! I read vague reports that gave tips like ""buy stuff, sell it cheap"" I can't believe I paid money for the crap that I was getting. It sounded more like some slick marketer who never played the game a day in his life talking out his... keyboard. I almost gave up on the idea of ever being able to make any gold on WoW until I found out about Valkor's Gold Guide. wow gold What a relief to find someone who actually plays the game and can give solid advice that even someone with a low level character can benefit from. Instead of vague comments I found detailed maps on exactly where to go and what to do to make gold! Exactly what I was looking for. More importantly than that I made 76 gold in 1 hour! Not bad since I was just a level 29 at the time. " "It's been three months since Spiffworld made his last Jonathan Coulton machinima, Chiron Beta Prime.
However, the last time I blogged about him was the V-Day Riot of '08, and I'm still in therapy. wow gold kaufen This time around, the worst you'll see is a second of human buttocks, and it's in context with the story ... about pants. It'll be over before you know it! If there were a machinima about my life, it might be Mr. wow gold Fancy Pants. There's shopping, dancing, and pantsing. Wait. wow po Scratch that. I don't want another riot on my hands. Just join me in the Fancy Pants Parade! I agree, but there's not much that you can do with a song like this. I'm sure that those credits are standard for any length JoCo song that he does, but this one just happened to be short. WoW Moviewatch: Too much of a good thing A long time ago in a land far, far away, the boys of Oblivious Films decided that they wanted to make epic machinimas. However, Macheath had to learn Adobe Premiere Pro first. achat wow gold What follows is a video, Oblivious Hardcore, made about two years ago, before The Grind, their award-winning series, was created. Drewbie, of Oblivious Films, was kind enough to let me use this as an example of what not to do in a machinima. As a lesson for himself, Macheath managed to fit a mishmash of filters, transitions, text, and effects into just over two minutes of video, proving that you can have too much of a good thing. Machinima isn't an all you can eat buffet. Choose your main course, be it filters or effects, wisely and let the sides, like text and transitions, enhance your meal! " .

brief run-down of classes:

"Warrior: races - all tanking - highest, damage - decent, utility - low, healing - basic Warriors are the guys up front in plate armor. They can take the blows, and are expected to try to keep anyone else from taking them if they can. They certainly can deal damage though, and have three battle stances to reflect their balance of offense and defense. Rather than having mana, warriors generate rage to activate their special abilities as the battle goes on, and have quite a few combat skills to use, not all of them available in every stance. Warriors wear mail initially, later plate, and can use nearly all weapon types. They start with a one-handed sword and shield. Paladin: races - human, dwarf tanking - decent, damage - low, utility - high, healing - decent Paladins are the Alliance-only class. wow gold Paladins have virtually no genuine combat skills. Instead, they have a few other abilities to juggle. First, they have auras, which are permanent effects around the paladin (armor bonus, damage reflection, etc.) Second, they have “blessings” that are short term buffs on their teammates which fairly potent effects, only one of which works at a time. wow gold kaufen Third, they have “seals” that are self-only effects that last for 30 seconds. Seals are both strong in nature, and can also be released as a “judgement” that then becomes a status effect on their target. (A seal that gives the paladin life per hit becomes a judgement than gives anyone hitting that target life per hit.) They can also heal and rez, although they probably aren’t the best choice for a main healer. Paladins can use mail armor, plate later on, and can equip many non-ranged weapons. wow gold They start with a two-handed mace. Shaman: races - Tauren, Troll, Orc tanking - decent, damage - decent, utility - high, healing - decent The Horde’s answer to the paladin, the shaman is a true hybrid that can function as melee damage dealer, magic damage dealer, tank, or main healer.
While a shaman can potentially do any one or two of these things, it really is up to the shaman to choose a style that fits them, based on their talent choices. Shamans also have the ability to lay totems, which create local effects. wow po The totems each have an element (fire, air, earth, water) and only one of each type can be used at a time. achat wow gold The totems are attackable, and most only have a few hit points, but are immune to AE effects. Examples of totems are a healing spring totem that gives nearby party members health over time, an earthbind totem that roots nearby enemies, and a fire nova totem that detonates after a few seconds in a fiery explosion. Shamans can wear leather armor, learn mail later, and start with a staff. Read more here: .

Character Creation

"you need to decide when creating your character. You will need to choose a race/class, but first you will need to pick a server to start on. Assuming you don’t have a friend on a server that you want to play with, the decision to be made is player versus player (PvP) or non-PvP. (This is called normal by the game, and PvE or player vs environment/enemy by players.) There is also a third type of server called RP (role-playing) where people are supposed to be more intent on playing as their characters, rather than merely playing their characters. An RP server is usually just a special type of PvE server, except for one or two “RP-PvP” servers. There is PvP content on the PvE servers. Don’t think you’ll be completely missing out. However on the PvE servers, if you’re an orc and you run across a human, you can’t fight him unless he agrees to fight you. wow gold There is a “PvP mode” you enter and at that point anyone on the other side can attack you (and thus enter PvP mode themself.) In other words, PvP is consentual on the non-PvP servers. On the PvP servers, you can attack the other faction at any time. If you want to, you can be a level 50 player and go kill level 15’s. The absolute newbie zones are protected, but everywhere else is “contested territory” where it’s open season. However, killing someone close to your level will earn you honor, while killing a trivial low-level player will not. There is never a direct penalty for fighting someone, and you must be prepared to have that happen to you at the most inopportune times. PvP adds a certain element of realism - it puts the war in warcraft. wow gold kaufen However, if you are not a fan of being at the whim of other players, you might be better off

PvE servers are, in fact, the majority of the servers. The other obvious dilemma in starting the game is choosing a combination of race and class. Not all combinations are available. I recommend choosing a class first, and then a race to match, because some classes may suit your playstyle more than others, and overall it is the much more significant decision. " elsewhere, but at low levels, it will fill very quickly. If you are considered “rested”, meaning your player is fresh from inactivity, you may find a notch in the experience bar. wow gold Until you reach that point, you gain experience at a higher rate. The arrows or WASD keys will move you. Somewhere near you should be a person with a big yellow exclamation point over their head (!) If you are undead, you will need to leave the tomb you start in first. wow po If you move near that person and right-click them, they will begin to give you a quest. That quest will either be to kill some of the basic creatures nearby, or talk to someone nearby who will tell you to do that. Be sure to keep an eye out for other questgivers. achat wow gold While you have an active quest with an NPC, they will have a silver question mark over their head, and it will turn yellow when you have finished. (A silver exclamation point means that person has a quest you are too low in level for.) You might have noted when you put your mouse over the questgiver to talk to them that your cursor changed to a talk bubble. Any time your cursor changes, there is something special you can do by right-clicking. Talking to people, looting corpses, mining ore, opening chests, and attacking monsters are all different examples.

Guide : How to obtain the Scepter of the shifting sands

"Ever searched for the complete quest line to obtain the scepter and be disappointed to only find some snippets and general bad info . Maybe this guide will give you more insight . wow honor leveling If you find errors please note them down below ) Note you can also use this guide if you want to obtain the Dirge's Kickin' Chimaerok Chops recipe. In that case complete the steps in this post (untill you get Anachronos to tell you about the other flights) Then go straight to the blue scepter shard post. In theory all you need is a guild being able to kill broodlord and alot of patience , but it is groupable , maybe even soloable without very big expenses. I've tried to combine all the info and personal experience into this guide. wow level service Also note that this is my first guide ) How to obtain the scepter of the shifting sands . It begins with this What Tomorrow Brings (http://www.thottbot.com/. qu=8286) Travel to the Caverns of Time to discover the Brood of Nozdormu. wow lvl service Then Speak with Baristolth of the Shifting Sands in silithius (coords here) and accept Only One May Rise (Raid). (Kill bloodlord lasher in BWL and loot his head) http://www.thottbot.com/. qu=8288 After turning in the head you get the quest The Path of the Righteous (Elite) (You kill bugs for carapace's , each 200 turned in you get a signet that allows you to promote another player to grind carapace's , they then can give you the carapaces so you can turn them in) Farm rep to Neutral and talk to Baristolth of the Shifting Sands to receive Anachronos http://www.thottbot.com/. wow gold qu=8303 then go seek out Anachronos After this you receive some quick instructions in an unlisted quest titled 'The Charge of the Dragonflights', you may then begin the following parts " .

A rogue guide to pvping, being a goblin engineer helps.

"For one thing you can start by equiping crippling poisen for when a puller pulls a warmaster in the generals room. Then cheapshot em, if they happen to be a mage, don't worry your crippling poisen should slow them enough for the warmasters to catch up to them kill them fast, and come back without being aggrod by the horde. Another reason why I play on defense is that all you have to do is be around the NPCs that kill horde to get as low as 12 to as high as 100 honor, and they add up. wow honor leveling A good comb to stem the tide if the horde zerg with 30players (usually more) is to cheapshot the main tank and have the npc help you kill it. Use vanish and then repeat. I have preparation so I can attempt this 3 times, if you don't have it, use cold blood, blade furry, hemo, or whatever else that does high dmg onto the mt. wow level service How do I know it'll always be a warrior or shaman or druid tanking the warmasters and other 60elites. Well have you ever seen a non-tank class last long against a 60elite in AV. If this works properly (and you don't die, use major healing pots or use evasion to minimize dmg) then the aggro will go eventually to a cloth wearer and the healers will eventually stop dropping dead. wow lvl service The horde will then have to re-group and try again, hopefully, they'll be dumb enough to come immediatly after they respawn and not as a group. Here the tactics I use as a goblin engineer. A REALLY useful thing you can do (If your a goblin engineer) is throw a Thorium Grenade at a caster, say a warlock, right before they cast corruption or shadow bolt on you or your group in general! This will sleep them and give you enough time to either get the hell out of there.
Or, beat their sorry ass and remind them who's boss in AV =D. Another all time favorite PVP device of mine is the Goblin sapper charge. wow gold Why you ask. Well for one thing it's cheap, easy to use, never fails, and is an excellent AOE weapon. Also, I have seen this little baby crit up to 1300 before. wow power leveling So is it worth it if you take 300 dmg but about 15 other players take 675-1300 dmg. HELL YA! This is especially useful if your in the middle of a large fight and your about to die anyways (about 200 or less health)....why not piss your opponent off by killing yourself and therefore not giving ANY honor to them, and at the same time punching them in the face with a good chunk of dmg. Possibly even killing them and getting honor =D. Also, try to use the goblin bomb dispencer, not only does it distract people (into hopefully clicking on it and losing target of whatever they were targeting before) if they've never seen one, they'll think it's some pet the you bought off the ah and not think it can do 600dmg to you =D. It also doesn't share cooldown with your throwing mobs. And it also looks sick as hell to boot. I'll have another article up later in the week with some more PVP advice. Remember that what I mentioned above can be applied to outdoor pvp and other battle grounds. Hopefully with what I said you should be better at pvping using these very, very, very, dirty tactics. Hey, were rogues, read our class description =P " .

"Since I'm 60, I now focus more on end game instances like blackwing lair and ZG. However, before 50 I pvped mostly because I liked doing it. wow gold I'm also a Goblin Engineer, which means I can pull lots of tricks out of my ass before going down =D NOTE: This is a rogue guide. 1.) I'll start off with the big bad and cruel world known as laggerific valley. This place as you all should know by now is HUGE and also gives the most honor and is the easiest to level in rep with. And at the same time gives some of the best weapons for a rogue in the game. Tip number one. Rogues are not tanks. I don't care what spec your are. wow lvl service ROGUES ARE NOT TANKS. Our class excels at PVP because you can't see us coming unless we mess up and you see us, or you aoe the area we just happen to be in. In Alteric valley I prefer to stay on defense because in AV, although it is sad to say, is not a pvp zone like it used to be T_T. It is now not a battleground, but a raceground. wow gold The first one to kill all the battle masters along the way to the enemy general wins! Don't believe me. Play one game of AV on ANY server and see where ALL the blue dots get to and notice how they get 3/4s the way to the general without losing almost anybody. While at the same time the blue forts and towers leading up to your general are all turning red... Tip number two. NOTE: I'm not gonna go into a rogue strategy for offensive AV because, well, all you do is DPS the Battle master and then finally the general.
wow leveln That's it! You don't even get much honor even if you win because, there won't be that many horde at the general's base, and is 140 something honor really worth 20-30min. That's why playing on defense to me gets the most honor. I'am specced at the moment for improved sap and this really really REALLY helps when your facing lots of horde (May the gaming gods have mercy on my soul for rolling alliance). I try and sap the healers and cloth wearers that are usually, but not always in the back. wow level service If there are more than 6 I'll try not to push my luck and just sap as many of em as I can to slow their advance at least. Or until 3-4 more people come and help me out . If you are by yourself, chill. There's still PLENTY you can do to piss the horde off. " .

During the early decades of the 21st Century, there were years in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict too painful and discouraging to count. Like two exhausted fighters unable to disengage, both sides continued to pound one another. Daily the Palestinians confronted the Israeli army with stone throwing, or in some cases in pitched gun battles, accepting with an angry pride the causalities inflicted. As frequently as they could manage Hamas sent in suicide bombers which in turn took their toll in human life and suffering. For the Israelis, living in fear that one life or one children might be killed or maimed when they least expected it became the wow gold kaufen controlling fact of life. And in seemingly endless unproductive acts of retaliation, the Israeli army would push its way into the Palestine territory, bulldozing houses, barricading roads, killing suspected terrorist leaders in the hope of eliminating this threat to life. Unfortunately buy cheap wow gold such raids more often than not resulted in the killing or maiming of Palestinians, often children, and in actual fact only making matters worse. For a while there was outright war. So it continued for years without end. Yet all of humanity longed for peace in the Middle East. For reasons not fully understood the resolution of this conflict was central to buy cheap wow gold peace itself. In the Western mind, it seemed that the linchpin for peace anywhere in the world was the reconciling of the Israelis and the Palestinians. If peace could be achieved here, like a domino effect it would happen around the world. At least that seemed to be the unspoken assumption. And it had almost happened. In that heady optimistic fall of 2000 the US president had all but nudged, cajoled, bullied both parties into signing a peace accord. So close, the world held its breathe, but it was not to be. Always it seemed for one side wow goldor the other, it was not enough. And so the two sides remained gripped in a soul destroying confrontation that neither could win, but both could wound and demoralize -- endlessly.
